Empowering Individuals with Financial Wisdom
A Conversation with the Author of "Get WalletWise"
As a money expert, Ken Remsen founded WalletWise, LLC, a Financial Coaching business, that helps people become debt free. Unlike many money experts, Ken did not grow up in an affluent home. Ken has seen firsthand the obstacles his family faced with their finances. His family had very little savings and spent borrowed money on unnecessary expenses.
Ken earned a degree in real estate and urban land economics from the University of North Florida by working full time in real estate. He worked during the day and scheduled his classes at college two days a week. He graduated with a four-year degree in three years.
For 3 decades, Ken has studied finance, bought and sold real estate and paid off all personal debt to help create a six-figure stock portfolio. Ken has experience managing and executing a Family Trust.

Testimonials:
His strongest note is one of self-empowerment; he's constantly warning his readers not to be victims. Financial competence is a skill that can be learned—and it is in any case not the be-all and end-all of existence. "Life is not money," he writes. "It is authentic relationships." This healthy perspective infuses every aspect of Remsen's extensive counsel.
A compassionate and richly empowering guide to renovating your finances.
I was impressed by the practical and personal nature of the book. From the first page, there were lessons that I could take—and anyone else too—and apply immediately to current situations. I appreciated this. The author didn't try to fill up this book with ambiguous and irrelevant information.
This is a great book, especially in the times that we are living in now. There is much love and understanding that needs to be introduced into the world that we are missing, which is stopping us from achieving our goals and pushing through this problem.
I skim through a lot of personal finance books (from the library or when they are free) just to see what they say and if I can pick up any tips. This book was unique in discussing the financial implications (in one chapter each) of divorce, smoking, Driving under the Influence and other things that usually aren't mentioned in financial planning but that do directly impact it. The worksheets were well-done and it was a nice read all-around.
